Anthony Wiegand - Scenic Designer | Scenic Artist

Hello! My name is Anthony Wiegand. I have spent my entire professional career as a freelancer in the arts and entertainment. I discovered my love of theatre in high school as Lighting Designer and since then I have worked professionally as a Freelance Audio/Video Technician, Scenic Charge Artist, Set Designer, Lighting Designer and Stage Rigger.

My main focus is design, mostly scenic design and perusing mural design. I am passionate and driven and my experience has given me the skills and confidence to execute large-scale designs as well as working well in a collaborative environment as well as leading a team when the occasion calls for it.

​

On a personal note I am a longtime attendee, volunteer, and most recently chairman of the Graphix committee at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Although the festival has decided to take a pause this year and not put on the festival, I hope to reprise my role when the Philadelphia Folksong Society decides to resume the festival. I am also a folk musician, and practicing Juggler.
